Description

Ray Larson, Curator of Living Collections, will take us on a journey through the most interesting plant collections in the UW Botanic Gardens. Learn about rare and unusual plants, collections based on genetics and eco-geographic habitats, and unusual stories of how these plants have made their way to us. This season we’ll focus on the oak or beech family, Fagaceae, which includes 6 to 8 genera, notably Quercus, Fagus and Castanea.

This program will take place outdoors, rain or shine, and will include walking at a brisk pace, sometimes over uneven terrain.

Cost: $15
