Description

As we live our lives we often have to navigate external challenges that arise in the day-to-day. But what isn’t talked about often is the reality that most of us are also navigating an internal landscape with plenty of overgrown weeds and hidden potholes. The practice of self-acceptance can be a potent first step to welcome in reality, better assess what we are facing, and develop concrete and effective strategies to support us in better traversing our internal world.

Join Danny Arguetty, mindfulness manager at the UW, and the Whole U for an interactive experience as we Dare to Accept for the sake of greater compassion, contentment, and happiness from the inside out. In this session you will:

Dive into the concept of acceptance and how it can be practiced.
Welcome and better understand the self-sabotaging part of yourself which might be holding you back.
Explore what fabricated narratives are keeping you stuck in place.
Cultivate self-compassion and compassion for others.
Danny Arguetty, M.A., is the mindfulness manager at the University of Washington, a yoga teacher (and teacher trainer), nutrition/life coach, and a lover of the environment. He is the author of Nourishing the Teacher and The 6 Qualities of Consciousness. Passionate about helping people flourish through mindfulness, wellness, and personal self-development, he has over a decade’s worth of experience in group facilitation, one-on-one coaching, and experiential teaching.

Danny has guided workshops throughout the United States, led basic and advanced yoga trainings in the U.S. and India, and spoken at Facebook, Olson Kundig, Gravity Payments, Seattle Children’s, UW Foster School of Business, School of Social Work, School of Medicine, and The Whole U.

Thank you to AT&T for being a Whole U program sponsor.
