Description

Dr. Maxwell Leung grew up in Hong Kong. He has a B.Sc. degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Animal Science and Toxicology at University of Guelph. He did his Ph.D work with Dr. Joel Meyer in Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University in 2012, studying developmental exposure and mitochondrial DNA damage using the C. elegans model. He completed an ORISE postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Thomas Knudsen in U.S. EPA National Center for Computational Toxicology in 2016. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor in Department of Environmental Toxicology at UC Davis and associate toxicologist in California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
