At the UW Foster School of Business, we teach and practice leadership every day. Alumni, students, faculty and the greater Foster community have access to local, regional, and world-renowned leaders who shape the way we do business. The Leaders to Legends Breakfast Lecture Series spotlights leaders from various industries.

Charlotte Guyman currently serves as a Director for Berkshire Hathaway Corporation and is a member of the Finance & Audit committee and as a Director for the Space Needle Corporation where she is Chair of the Governance as well as on the Advisory Board for Brooks Running. Guyman is a Trustee for Save the Children where she serves on the Executive, Audit, international, and Headstart committees and she is Chair of the US programs committee. Currently she is co-chair of the University of Washington Medicine Campaign. She is also a Director for In addition, Guyman is a Strategic Advisor Partner atan advisory consulting firm, Cameoworks.

From 2000 through 2010 Ms. Guyman served, most recently as Board Chair, on the Advisory Board for University of Washington Medicine. UW Medicine includes the School of Medicine and the hospitals of UWMC, Harborview and Northwest. From 1987 until 1999 Ms. Guyman worked at Microsoft Corporation where she held several marketing and general management positions. Her experience includes development of learning software for adults and children and the pioneering internet application, Expedia. She has been General Manager of Kids and Games software for Microsoft, MSN Sales & sales marketing, as well as Director of International Marketing and Director of Consumer Division Marketing. Ms. Guyman began her career in the early 1980s in computer sales and then systems engineering management at the Hewlett Packard Company. She earned a B.S. in Zoology and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington.

Charlotte has been married to Doug Guyman for 31 years and they have three children aged 29, 27, and 21. She is an avid skier, cyclist, runner, swimmer, and sailor.

Event Details
A continental breakfast will be available from 7:15–8:00 a.m. The session will start at 8:10 a.m. followed by a Q&A Session. The cost of attendance is $10 payable by check, cash, or credit card. UW faculty, staff, and students receive free admission.
