In celebration of Archives Month, join:

  • Michael Zahs, collector, historian and retired junior high teacher from rural Washington, Iowa.
  • John Richard, Director of Photography
for a conversation about cinema history, film preservation and their work on Saving Brinton, the story of a Zah's discovery of showreels of William Franklin Brinton, who, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, would travel the Midwest bringing films, magic lantern slides, and other forms of entertainment to populations who, in many cases, had never before seen such sights; and Zah's journey to save these cinematic treasures.

This event is free and open to the public.
