Portraits 101: Shooting Pictures in Natural Light
WhenWednesday, Jun 6, 2018, 5 – 8 p.m.
WhereHUB Room 214
Description

In this free portrait workshop, you will learn how to photograph people using the strongest light source of them all: the sun. This beautiful yet unwieldy light will always be available to us, even on dreary and overcast days, and learning how to harness its rays is a fundamental tool of portrait photography. Whether you’re taking pictures of your children or a headshot of a new coworker, the sun will always be your most convenient and reliable light source.

We will walk around campus as the sun sets, wrangling the harsh rays of afternoon sunlight and then soaking up the flattering beams of the “magic hour.”
