Description

College or Jail? An Inside Look at the School to Prison Pipeline and Mass Incarceration in King County

Join the Comparative Study of Race Graduate Research Cluster for an event focusing on the complicated relationship that higher education shares with mass incarceration, locally and (trans)nationally, as two of the institutional sides of the school-to-prison pipeline. Nikkita Oliver will moderate the conversation among panelists including formerly incarcerated individuals and representatives from Got Green?, No New Youth Jail, Youth Undoing Institutional Racism (YUIR), Black Elephant Party, and The Garvey Army.
