Description

This workshop requires registration.
Multimedia provides an engaging window into Japanese language and culture for students of Japanese. This workshop will explore the selection and use of multimedia materials such as TV clips, commercials, songs, and YouTube videos. Participants will bring and share their own examples of how they use multimedia in their teaching; examples will also be provided by the workshop speaker. The workshop includes ample opportunities for discussion and collaboration, with a focus on creating classroom-ready materials to promote engagement with language and culture, expand the scope of student learning, and enhance motivation. Please bring laptops and your own materials to show to one another, and be ready to discuss your own experiences using Japanese multimedia in teaching Japanese.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided to all pre-registered participants.  We have space for 25 participants.
