Campus locationFluke Hall (FLK)
Event typesInformation Sessions, Lectures/Seminars

On this date, Kim Falcon will speak about 'Developing Your Brand' . There will be no UW ELC Presentation on this date.

Kim is the business mind behind Graphica. After earning a BFA in design from Cornish College of the Arts, she began her career as a member of several Seattle-area design firms. In 1995 she co-founded Graphica Inc. Today she manages the day-to-day operations, spearheading business development and client relations. Her nurturing spirit is reflected in her ability to successfully manage a large stable of clients. Her passion — business and building strong relationships — was first recognized through early equine experiences in her youth. She brings these and other leadership abilities to Graphica with two feet firmly in the saddle. Kim is respected and adored by horses, dogs, rabbits, children, employees, and clients alike.

Graphica is a Seattle-based branding firm focused on building strong corporate brands and communication materials. We’ve been providing creative and sophisticated solutions for our clients in the Pacific Northwest and beyond since first opening our doors in 1996.

Format of the Startup Sessions:
The startup sessions will have a topic and an area expert providing key insights and knowledge regarding the topic in a 20-30 minute seminar format. After the seminar, the attendees will break into working sessions to engage with the topic as it relates to them. Then in Winter and Spring Quarters we will have an ELC student presentation on a legal matter pertinent to startups. The Student will present for 20-30 min and then will work with the advising council to answer questions regarding that topic.
• Each CoMotion Labs Startup Session will start at 12:00pm, with a 20-30 min seminar, followed by Q&A time for the topic until 1pm.
• Each ELC student presentation will start at 1pm, with a 20-30 min lecture, followed by Q&A time for the topic until 2pm. (ELC students only present in Winter and Spring quarters.)
• The entire startup session will be open until 3pm for the participants.
All seminars will be video captured and live streamed.
