Join Hannah Palin, Film Archives Specialist at the University of Washington Libraries, to view highlights from the state of Washington's only historic film archive. From a 1914 Indian Motorcycle race to videotape of the UW women's softball team shot in the 2000s, Hannah will explain through films and stories the importance of film preservation in a digital age.

Hannah Palin has been working on grant funded moving image projects since 2002 in the University of Washington Libraries' Special Collections. Special Collections is home to over 450 film and videotape collections that include documentaries, home movies, educational films, local television programs, as well as, films made by, for, and about the UW.
