Description

The exhibit tells stories of ordinary people who made heroic choices to save their Jewish friends, neighbors, and often complete strangers, from persecution or deportation to concentration camps during the World War II Nazi Germany occupation of Poland.  They demonstrated their courage and compassion for saving human lives by risking to sacrifice their own and their families’ lives. The stories of survivors and rescuers are told through a historical narrative and archival photos, in a broader context of Polish-Jewish relations.
