Who should attend: Faculty, librarians and professional staff who are participating in the UW Retirement Plan (UWRP) and expect to retire within the next 12 months.
This 3 hour workshop is designed for those retiring within the year and covers the following topics:
- Retirement eligibility
- Completing the UW retirement application
- Retiree medical plan choices and enrollment
- Applying for Medicare
- Leave balances and VEBA, if applicable
- Notifying your department about your separation
- Working after retirement

Remember to bring your husky ID card for building entry.
You must check in at the UW Benefits Reception desk at UW Tower, Floor O-1 at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the seminar to receive materials, and obtain directions to the room.
