Description | This workshop is for those wanting to get involved in flower production at the UW farm, and or those who are helping us set up and decorate for the farm to table dinner on October 27. Questions? Email theuwfarm@gmail.com. Let's gather and harvest the bounty of blooms we've grown at the UW Farm! We will - Learn and help to harvest and process the different flowers, foliage, fruit and textures from the farm.
- Discuss flower growing, their importance in to pollinators and making use of limited urban farm space.
- Report on what we grew this year and ideas for including our flowers as an "add on" to our regular CSA next season.
- Plan for the Farm to Table dinner decor
- Assemble a simple "farmer's bunch" to take home.
Please dress for the weather as we'll first meet at the CUH farm site at 4PM. We may move down to the Douglas headhouse if it gets dark early and the weather proves intolerable. Please bring your own pair of snips/pruners/secateurs. Thank you! Please RSVP to Riz Reyes(riz@rhrhorticulture.com) |
